The Moody Blues could never be as good without Mike Pinder as they could have been with him. Such is the chemistry of a band. I saw them for the firts time in Houston, 1978. Mike Pinder played the album but Patrick Moraz played keyboards in the concert. I purchased the concert booklet and they strategically blocked Mike Pinder, by cropping him out of the photographs.

@stratmandoug1974 Graeme writes all those poems. Late lament, departure, the balance...

@stratmandoug1974 belated kudos for this comment - says it all. I always wondered why the Moodies never mentioned his name after he split or performed any of his signature material, like he never existed. How ironic that it was Mike's voice that brought out the best in Graeme Edge's poetry. His recitals remain highlights of their recordings. And to me, everything they've achieved since has a hollow ring to it, like there's some magic missing

i got to see the moodies in san diego in summer 1972 and the show was incredible and of course hash-oil-soaked joints were being passed around thru the crowd, i love all 5 of the guys forever

ITS John Locke

50% profundity and 50% BS. Wise is the man who keeps the two in tension.

@Mordain607 I know, how dare he speak of that!

Out and In......

Well, I suppose it's not a COMPLETE impossibility, but it's the fact that he's talking about it as if it's something that's actually been proven, not something that can be explained much more simply by other scientific reasons.

@Mordain607 how would you know.........?
I have all their albums & have listened to them since the Days of Future Past. It is a pitty about Mike whom I thought was their best. He had the deepest music among them all. Justin made them famous & his contributions are unquestionable but Mike had the best music IMHO.

Hey Planktontwo, I suppose you also think Elvis Presley is still alive, along with Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix. But you think poor ol' Mike Pinder is dead? Man you need to get a serious grip on reality. What planet are you living on, ol' veteran cosmic rocker? I also believe John Entwistle and Keith Moon are dead as well, but I suppose you think they are still alive? This is too much, you spazzy dude!
