Vintage Sixties live club night and jam session Mar 2007 - no rehearsal - no sound check - give it some welly. The guy playing lead had never met the other band members. www.vintagesixtieslive.co.uk
Well, I'd say this is pretty darn good for a walk-in guitarist playing with strangers. Personally I think they synced up quite well in their situation. Great Apache cover! The sound was spot on! The great sound reproduction was probably due to the equipment and building being similar to what was used in the original performances. Well done!
The lead guitar has his parts down pat. It's the best cover I've heard. Must of studied Jorgen Ingman's version closely. The rhythm guitar must 'answer' the lead parts for this song to really be whole. It's a very good start but incomplete. Go back and learn the the other and this is a recordable cover. This is the first single I bought as a kid.
Most of the musicians and singers at VSL are from local (north east) bands of the sixties. They wondered if they still had what it takes. In spades guys!!!
That's awesome! They play better than some bands I've been in for years! Well done pops!
