sirens sound in plainfield,IL in 1990 as a terrifying tornado hit plainfield but the warning came a little too

i currently live in plainfield and i was born 7 years after this happend. Scary. but i still love tornados :D

@psychojoker131 i know you already moved here but no we dont get tornados often! im 14, lived here my whole life, never been throught one here. like u said weve had a few scares but nothing to worry about! hope you like it here! i do, well because i know nothing else and all my friends are here:)

Wait, does Plainfield get tornados often? I'm moving there in like a week! I live under a hour away, near Geneva. and never had a tornado. A few scares, like a couple years ago, but no touch downs!

my dad and my next door neighbor almost got killed at the high school by this tornado

I went to tom skillings weather seminar last year and he talked about how a team reconstructed this tornado event to see if modern warning systems would have been able to let people know it was coming with sirens and alerts. They concluded that it would be just the same, no warning.
