P.S. Couldn't agree with you more on the "being famous" note. It is love of the art and commitment to it that will get you to where you want to go, and if where you want to go is straight to the recognition without doing the legwork, you're in for a serious wake-up call…

5. In ten years time I'll have finished acting school and be living in Copenhagen doing dramatic independent films. My goal is to one day take part in something - anything - written by Frank Darabont. I L-O-V-E his screenplays.
Hope this was enjoyable (: Cheers!

(and I realize I'm sounding a bit dramatic here, but let's face it - I'm an actress!), and I thought to myself: How can so much be said by so little? How can I feel this much over a white screen and some moving pictures? That one tiny moment decided my whole life for me, and I've been chasing that same feeling ever since. If only I could ever make someone feel the way Elijah Wood made me feel that one night 10 years ago - that is my dream.

4. Phew, this might take a while! I've known my entire life that I was going to be a performer of some sort, and probably from the age of 7 or 8 I knew that is was to be acting. Then I saw The Lord of the Rings at the movies when I was 11, and the feeling it left me with….there is just no words to describe it. That moment about five minutes in where Frodo stands up for the first time, looks up and smiles… It was like my whole world suddenly made sense (cont.)

3. I've never been much into theatre to be perfectly honest, very few plays have managed to move me in the way that so many movies have done… I was however extremely excited over Rent and the Lion King, both of which I have been fortunate enough to enjoy on Broadway. This being due to the theatricality of it all and the music more so than the acting or playwright, but that did not make it any less pleasurable (:

Alright, I'll have a go at that! (this might be a rather long post, I apologize in advance)
1. My name is Kate, I'm 21 and from Denmark.
2. My guess is this question goes to actresses as well - To pick just one would be next to impossible, but Michael Douglas, Johnny Depp (his performance in The Libertine blew my mind!) and Tilda Swinton are my favorites at the moment, but there are so, so many...

@xJezz Sorry to put you off! But it's true. You've got to really love acting. Famous actors are famous because they've got somewhere with their training and passion at educating themselves in the art of performance. That's what acting is about - perfecting your craft. It's nothing to do with fame.

@straightfromschool Oh I'm fully aware of that, but that's what I wish to achieve, and I'm not the only one, I believe I will make it big through my passion, I'm studying hard now and will continue to until I have made it, but I still wish to achieve fame through what I love and I just feel it's very derogatory to laugh at somebody's dreams... however unlikely they may seem to you.

@xJezz Maybe that wasn't the best phrasing - 'laughing at you' - but I think its perfectly ok to question why people believe they should be famous for something they haven't achieved yet. It's ok to want your achievements recognized, as long as it's something you deserve 'cos you worked hard for it. I don't mean you specifically of course, it's just a lot of people I speak to assume they'll make it 'big' when they don't even know if they're any good at their craft.
