Boubacar with Hit Web Design's Technical Support Department gives some great tips on how to make sure that your website is giving direction to your site visitors!
Tip 1: Your site should be visually engaging. This means that people should be able to figure out what your site is about in 15 seconds or less.
Tip 2: Clear Navigation. At first glance your visitors should now how to navigate your site and quickly get to where they need to go!
Tip 3: Page Flow. Remember that people read from left to right so the most important information on your home page should be in the upper left hand corner and the least critical information on the bottom right.
Letting your page flow gives more opportunities for your visitors to think about what they are looking for and what they want out of it. I love this piece of info/advice by HIT. Everything should be clear enough so that attention is grabbed and KEPT within the first 15 seconds. Great video.

love websites that just "flow" and that are all well put together and just each page goes with each other.

Nothing is worse then going to a site that you have no idea how to surf in. I agree that the navigation really does need to be clear.

I like this advice, because I hate it when I go to a website and I have no idea where to go. Very confusing sites out there that really need some revision.
