It's Dolemite what more do I have to say. Action directed by Roberto Lopez. Some of the stunt players in this project went on to work on Buffy The Vampire Slayer,Matrix,Ultraviolet, Once Upon A Time In China, Beowulf & Grendel, Rundown, The Dave Chappelle Show. The final name of this movie is Dolemite Explosion. This footage is the ruff cut, maybe different then how it was edited for the actual movie. I had a lot of fun on this movie. Rudy flew us out to LA from NYC to shoot this fight for him and I got to hire my friends Roberto Gutierrez and Steve Tartalia, these guys are the best. Rudy was great to work with. He made one request when we started filming, make him look god like. I made him walk up walls I hope it was enough. I can't believe it's been 13 years since I shot this. I still have not seen this movie and I don't know how they edited the fight scene. This was my ruff cut, from DV dailies, we shot 35mm, I wish I could see it color corrected and projected.

Dolemite should have got a Oscar for his films back in the 70's. He rapped, fight, made out with the ladies he's did what no other pimps have done in those days and he's a comedian. He's the first Karate fighting pimp that rapps and tell jokes in his film. He needs a Oscar.
