Ciarán, care to comment on the relationship between apathy and ignoring the clear wishes of the electorate? The people voted NO, and the govt and EU decided on a re-run. It wasn't like the people said, "hey, we've had a rethink let us vote again." So where do you govt TDs get off thinking you have a mandate for 2nd referendum?

I agree with you. Your government is spreading the same lies about Lissbon (EU Constitution) as ours did before our referendum. We rejected it with over 63%, but still they're trying to pass the treaty, no matter how we feel about it :s

It's absolutely disrespectful that the EU is forcing you to vote again on the same treaty, you already rejected. I hope that you guys will vote NO again, on behalf of all the countries that are not allowed to have their say about this fascist EU constitution!

We're sending the message out, that rather than demand that the citizens of the EU get to vote on this treaty, that the Irish have to be lied to, bullied, and forced to hold a second vote on this Treaty which they already rejected. Well done Mr. Cuffe.

Global Warming? The Lisbon Treaty pays lipservice to Global Warming. The nuclear industry however, gets a bit more attention. Ciaran, you're out putting up posters because it's party policy.

What the brave and bullied Irish have NOT been told is indeed very interesting. Perhaps Ireland's politicians and the un-elected "elite" in Brussels "forgot" to mention that massive bits of the infamous Lisbon treaty/constitution will not effect GERMANY or AUSTRIA ! Why not ? Because the Constitutional Courts of these two countries stood up for their citizens and built in protections and safeguards !
