@newiPod101 Correct ... hers had little ski-runners, as does this... When you're not going to be taxiing ever so much, they make a certain amount of sense as they're lighter, fold up far more compact, can take a hell of a beating, and can be used as handholds.
Now the question is, what kind of speed are they doing here? Unless you can get airborne at hand-glider speeds then do a gymnast flip onto the top, purists are gonna bitch...even though most of us would squee to see it fly unaided at all!
@luckylongarm1 you're welcome to your opinion, but the whole opensky project is based off a well known and beautifully elegant jet-glider from an old anime... 'course, non scientifically designed pen strokes don't translate exactly to real life aerodynamics (particularly in terms of wingspan), but assuming it's not just highly sophisticated high-wire-work, I'd say these guys have nailed it quite well. Just needs some kind of lightweight motor & fuel...

@newiPod101 Yup, Nausicaa took off either by running or by doing the little burst thing to get the Mehve off the ground. And she landed hard.

There was no wheel on nausicaa's, one with no wheels wouldn't work for landing. You'd come down hard.

it looks nice but I dont want wheels on mine, instead some super clean super hard white bottom, with the new materials coming this will be no problem
