Today's sports fan lives in the moment and has no respect for the pecking order of sports history. I'm sick and tired of short sided, long winded arguments that lack true historical perspective about sports history and icon rankings. Now the Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather fans want to prop them up to Sugar Ray Leonard status? Come on man, they haven't earned that yet.

This is why I subscribe to Bruce's channel, and this is why I listen to his radio show - no one, not one person on YouTube, takes the time to produce a two hour video chronicling Michael Jordan's prime or a three hour video chronicling Sugar Ray Leonard's prime. I'm going to set aside some time later on and watch this. Great job Bruce!

I like Floyd alot but his overzealous fans have no logic oh Floyd woulda beat so and so because....HES MOST SKILLED EVER. Competition is ones measurement of their abuilities and i get so tired of ppl dismissing that. Marciano got nailed for it and so will Floyd.

I was always believed that Leonard can beat Pacquiao, and after I watched Leonard vs Duran the rematch, now I believe that he can beat Mayweather too. Great vid for great boxer.

floyd mayweather jr. is the premier fighter of his era, hands down. He doesn't beat SRL, at all. Pacman is not even in the discussion, of Duran, not even close. To me the Key advantages that SRL has over PBF is power, and superior athlete. Not to diminish pbf, because i'm a big fan of his. But SRL, fought multiple guys from the all time great list, and he eventually fought at light heavy! C'mon that not something Pbf could accomplish. Skill wise they are tops all time, fortitude is to SRL.

Just wanted to add smth Bruce. If you remember, I called to the show one time almost a year ago during NBA playoffs (the only Russian guy in the history of the podcast:). I was in London back then and now I came back home, so I can't enjoy the podcast live because of the time difference, but I rarely miss the show in the archives. Always listen to it before sleep. Bruce, you are the man. Just wanted to tell you, that your efforts are always appreciated by us fans and that in no way your work is meaningless. This is just a smack across the face of all of the ignorant boxing fanboys who did not invest enough time to research and learn. I'm by no means a boxing historian, but in contrast to pactards and flomos I don't make statements if I'm not 100% sure in their validity. Having watched this vid, I can safely say that this proves your points about Ray 100%.

The biggest difference between Mayweather and the great ones like Sugar Ray Leonard is that Leonard Has more BALLS!
