The option for some people who want to curb the tide of Western/Eurocentric worldviews is to claim Europeans are nothing but a bunch of lucky copycats who "stole" ever bit of knowledge they could find, and that's just wrong and stupid. Why can't we simply respect and appreciate all great civilizations and their achievements? Yes, the East and Middle East influenced the West and vice versa, so what?

Actually, the Middle East and China influenced Europe far more than the other way. Most of the major inventions before 1500 all came from China and The Middle East: windmills, water wheels, gunpowder, guns, printing press, chariots, saddles, stirrups, magnetic compass, sternpost rudder, lanteen sails, etc etc etc.

If you think Mexicans have not done anything than look up the Mexica and the other well known pre-columbian Mexican Civilizations. In 1519, Tenochtitlan(which was located where mexico city is right now), the capital of the Mexica empire had a population of 350,000 people. At that time London was Europe's biggest city and had only 80,000 people. There is so much more I can tell you about ancient Mexicans and indigenous people of "the Americas". Also look up African civilizations like the mali.

It's Jealousy... Whites are obsessed with "race" and can't see past it. Asians are the most multi-cultural people (while being preservers of their people), white people don't know how to implement Multiculturalism. The notion that Marco Polo was a bullshitter who had never actually been to China is gaining ground. He was supposed to have been an important official in the court of Kubla Khan, but the meticulous Chinese records do not mention him or anyone who could have resembled him. angkor was the capitol city of the khmer empire.. u just got it wrong.. no the city of angkor couldnt have been a million that was way too much it was probablya few hundred thousand people.. china in 1200 ad had like 130 million people.. while white people bareley had 15 million people...
