Not typical of shoenberg, but nice. He should have stuck to tonality more often!

OMG. What a fantastic piece of music! Thank you Eric Hewitt for introducing me to it. Amazing how like Hindemith it is... yet not quite. Arnold and Paul were drinking from the same Pierian Spring, 'tho, for sure!

@bandie4life311 Why? Because it is interpreted by rough firemen? :-) Or does it sound off-key to you? For Schoenberg in 1943 this was veeerry traditional. The music is tonal and even starting with a theme that sounds like Renaissance.

My High School band is playing this peice and i am a freshmen Bass trombone player who started trombone 8 months ago and is playing Schoenberg :)
