@YouubeT very correct, if you want somethin that more than likely wont fail get a sony or lg, but like you said even the top brands have problems, tvs are gonna fail no matter what, it doesnt matter what brand, a brand name can last longer but also sometimes be just as bad

Good luck finding any electronics company that stands by their products and their customers past the warranty in today's bubble yum society. Gone are the days of solid state electronics. Type in or search for "Samsung HDTV problems" .....same shit different company name. Yes Samsung is higher quality but that just means a higher repair bill If you cannot repair it yourself.

This brand is made for cheap cunts. So don't be mad when ur cheap tv fails after warranty expires

I bought a westinghouse for 400 dollars 2 years ago,it just broke and it will take 300 dollars to fix,very dissapointed,and I took the tv for fix and appraisal to 4 different shops...all made fun of me for being such a sucker,aparently the hole world knows that you can't trust westinghouse,there's 0 customer service,only a phone number where you record your message and a webpage where you give a bunch of personal info,for nothing,never called back.that's my experience with westinghouse/crap

Here ya go dudes. Courtesy of NESA Winnipeg:
One of two symptoms on this model
Blue light comes on but cannot shut off.
No picture;
OR
No picture but sound is OK.
1: In both cases replace ALL the electrolytic capacitors on the output side of the power supply. This should get the power switch to work normally.
2: Replace the small tiny wee little tiny small 2.0A fuse on the inverter board labeled F1.
This is the small black fuse, not the slightly bigger white ones labeled F2 and F3.

If I was you people I would consider contacting a lawyer. This model of TV is biting the dust all over. If you do a search on the 'net you'll find all sorts of people with this model having the "no picture" fault. Usually, the blue light comes on and nothing else will work.
I have one on my bench right now. Same symptom. I have just replaced ALL the capacitors in the power supply and, although now I can shut the blue light off with the power button, I still cannot get the backlights working.

Where's Betty Furness when you need her?????

Westinghouse SUCKS! Next time I will get a Samsung. This Westinghouse is only 18 months old. Warranty expired 6 months ago and Westinghouse support says I'm out of luck. Kiss my $1200 good bye!
