Found that UMTS networks can be detected on Samsung i8910. Two networks found in Kanata. 1 is labled 'Rogers' the second is SPM AMERIS. I assume the second is a test network for the nearby Alcatel/Lucent (France). The ROGERS network could be the Fido Network as Rogers owns Fido.

I cannot connect to either. SPM is not always detectable, and I'm not sure what frequency these are running on since when I hard set frequencies my results are spotty. NOTHING CONCLUSIVE!

  • I'm not using wap. I've got a data plan and am using the "Internet" destination (not wap). are you on Wap or Data ? Either should work.

  • Actually I got my internet working on the phone!

  • I'm on internet with data. Are there any minor changes you made most people don't know about that made it work? My internet settings (destination) is definitely correct. I always get blank browsing. What do you suggest I should do to fix this?

  • wht did you do to make it woek? I have all correct internet wap settings. I would really appreciate some help this rogers thing is really getting on my nerves

  • When I do manual search from Nepean, it also shows Rogers, and SPM AMERIS. Maybe the test site in Kanata can also be read from Nepean, maybe it shows the Saint Pierre and Miquelon's network in all of Canada. But it doesn't work, even if it did it shouldn't be reliable. I saw you on Samsung i8910 HD forums, my username is God. I have the same problem where I can't connect to the internet, made sure all settings are connect. Hope a solution will be found soon.. paying for 6 gb/month getting nothin
