"The Fate of Morning and Night"

This song wound up being pretty tricky to translate, so here are some notes:

1. During Jimang's narration, he mentions the thread of fate. The specific terms he used was "warp" and "weft", two terms used in weaving. I decided to replace the lines with "woven" and "sewn" for less confusion.

2. There's much confusion around what is being sung in place of "Roman" and "Laurant". I've read the possibilities of "Moira(s)", "Milos", and "Minas". I chose what I thought fit best.

3. The same goes for what was "La Vie" in the original song. I've read both "Heroes" and "Philos", the Greek word for "loving". Although "heroes" would probably make more sense, I thought "philos" was more fitting. After all, it is Ancient Greece.

4. Finally, Astra refers to the "gods of the five wandering stars". According to Wikipedia, anyway.

  • wich concert is this? and who is singing with revo?

  • @micozito I forgot the name of the concert exactly, but it's the concert for Moira

The other singer is Utsunomiya Takashi from the band TM Network. He was a guest performer fr the album and concert.

  • Mmm If I remember right, Katya and Lena were those girls at the temple of Asteria, when Scorpius came for a visit and took Artemisia way.

    Thank you for translation!

  • @Haikaraa

That's what I thought first, but I'm pretty sure their names are Cassandra and Melissa. D:

  • But cassandra and Melissa are the hetarea, they appear ony when Misia is a child. I mean those two girls when the temple was attacked and Artemisia was sacrificed. :]

  • @Haikaraa

Oh wait, yeah you're right. Thanks for the correction! lol

  • This has probably come up before. But Moira is the Greek word for fate (unmei). Bios is the greek work for life (la vie). I think these are the only words that are being exchanged!

  • Ohhh, the Violette and Hortensia are played by Cassandra and Melissa (The Hetaera) because of Yuuki and Kaori singing their parts.. right? Or is this a part of the plot for every SH album...? Ah, maybe I'm looking too far into it...

  • @Farorai99 Thank you so much! Ah, I want to watch the encores too... T ^ T

  • @yoobunny Because trough some illustrated reports on Pixiv the persons who assisted to the concerts reported which were encores from the live, because there are always encores in SH concerts.. The encores were performed in stage, but they weren't included in the final DVD, that's why it's said that the Live didn't have encores. But they are only refering to the Märchen Live DVD (:

  • I... I know you post this long ago, but, they said that in the Marchen live there was no encore! And no Asa to Yoru no Marchen... so why did you say there was?

  • Hoho I do want to see the Märchen version *__* But well, there are so many other songs that didn't have a live version and worth it... Like the Majou to Lafrenze version Sleeping Beauty... I wish all the Encores will be in Märchen DVD, but well, dreamin is dreaming~

Anyway, this live is just wonderful. Asa to Yoru with four voices is impressive ! And Revo's voice for Amethystos role is so warm, I love it more than Hiver's in some ways...

  • In Märchen LIVE there was Asa to Yoru no Märchen!! I love these encores of Asa to Yoru :3
