"Gears of War Invented Uncharted's Cover System"

My reaction to whenever some idiot actually believes this. I can't name the original game that used this system but it sure as hell was NOT Gears of War, because Kill.Switch came before it.

Uncharted's cover system was demonstrated at E3 2006 months before Gears of War released. Uncharted's cover system was inspired by Kill Switch, not Gears of War.

jagged85 was right, i played the game kill switch and im pretty sure thats where the cover system was from (not the first game have cover system though)

The guy who designed the cover system for Kill Switch works for Epic Games. Look it up

Where the fuck do you get your information from? Oh yeah thats right in your head. The cover system in Gears of War 2 is THE EXACT SAME as Gears of War 1. Gears of War 1 released in 2006. Drake's fortune released in 2007. Nice try though. Uncharted took Gears cover system. Simple as that.

Except Gears of War was revelead in 2004 idiot. Gears of War invented the TPS cover system for this generation. Nobody cares if Killswitch ( a game nobody has even heard of ) existed first. Gears of War made it popular and to think that Naughty Dog didn't have inspiration from it is idiotic. Naughty Dog even mentioned themselves they owe some of their cover system to Gears.
