@johnnyo032003 10K exhaust?!? Are you getting a solid gold one? UR's turbo back set up is only about 1 grand. And a tune is enough to get the RA to to stock EVO if your tuner know what they are doing. Mine is at 240 WHP on a tune and new air filter (the stock one sucks). That's what a stock EVO dynos at. If you spend 10k on the RA, you will be MUCH above a stock EVO in performance in power...but still under it in suspension.
-
and what I mean by similar performance is buying the ralliart and spending the 10k on exhaust intake and computer reflash, this will give you the same power as the evo but you will have the softer suspension of the ralliart which is much better for someone who has kids or back problems, or doesn't want their wife to complain about the suspension being too hard all the time while riding in the passenger seat.

I would take this car over an evo, for the same money you can have identical performance but with a suspension that you can live with day to day, also you can opt out of the recaro seats and it would be the ultimate grown ups version of an evo. not to mention that its surely less expensive on insurance.

@cityslicker202 Not to mention the extra several grand for the warranty, which would quickly make it less economical then the RA. And the EVO has higher insurance and higher maintaince costs. IF, you were just paying the cost of the RA and getting the GSR and all was fine, I can see eating those extra costs and it's not a bad deal. Your talking about tacking on several grand in either warranty (which is just a waste of money) or aftermarket turbo on top, then it's not the same cost as the RA.
-
@cityslicker202 Rare? Umm You haven't had much use with buying used turbo have you? And even on turboed daily drivers, bad maintaince is turbo death...much less on a car like an EVO. And if your paying for the extended warranty on an EVO, it is STILL worthless unless you can produce records that your oil has been changed every 3k miles from the START of the car's life because otherwise, the turbo is abused. Buying a used turbo car with extended warranty is a total noob move.
-
@ColdNapalm42 4 grand is only if on the rare chance that the turbo does have problems. and if you buy a warranty you dont have to worry about it lol
-
@cityslicker202 You do realize that 4 grand isn't a small amount of money for a lot of people right? If your looking at RA prices and getting a used GSR instead to stay in that range, then 4 grand definately gonna not be a small deal. Otherwise, if 4 grand wasn't a big deal, then you can just get a new GSR from the start and be done with it. As for speed, using less then half the difference in price of a RA to a GSR and you can get more speed...but the handling will that's another matter :P.
-
@ColdNapalm42 well to me that would be worth it, i mean the turbo would be worth replacing in my opinion if you had to eventually get a new one for like 4grand? you could also get a long warranty for around 2grand. though if you dont care for the extra speed and handling the ralliart is for sure good enough to have fun in :)
-
@cityslicker202 Because getting a used turbo car is...umm...dumb unless you know for a fact that the turbo hasn't been abused maybe?!? And your thinking people who get EVOs wont have abused their turbos...oh how funny. I suppose if your getting a project car and your gonna replace the turbo anyways, it could be worth the money saved...but yeah you must be a complete car noob to get a used turbo car unless you plan on replacing the turbo anyways.

Nice video.
I hate buying new cars...I always buy one and then want something else. Bought the 08 WRX a year ago, as I would have gone with this but it wasn't out yet. I shoulda waited :( Add some sweet new wheels and it looks as nice as the Evo!
