One cyclist killed and another injured Thursday

no word on evacuations. we'll keep you updated throughout this newscast. two bicyclists were hit in separate accidents in albuquerque today ... one of them was killed. the other was seriously hurt -- and the driver in that crash is accused of leaving the scene. jeremy jojola is live in the newsroom with new details.

05:00 pm jeremy. a man riding a bike down tramway will not be going home to his family tonight after he was hit by a car. deputies say that bicyclist...a man in his 40's...was killed after he was hit by a driver. this happened on tramway about three miles east of sandia casino. the crash closing down a large section of tramway for several hours today...it's now back open. investigators are looking to see if the driver had some sort of medical episode that caused the crash. also this morning--a 20 year old woman by the name of memori hardwick is in serious trouble with police. they say she ran a red light at indian school and washington, hit a bicyclist and then drove off...she was later caught by police. the man hit--36 year old matthew trujillo--was taken to the hopsith serious injuries. he summer approaches, and more people on bikes head out---one local biking group wants to make sure people are aware.
