Perhaps some people may see this as a good thing, but I'm somewhat surprised the braille display doesn't provide any kind of auditory feedback such as beeps or otehr tones when you turn it on or connect it to another device, I haven't actually used a braille display myself as I don't know braille, but I understand a lot of braille displays beep and play otehr tones when you turn them on, connect them to host devices and so on.

When you connect the Refreshbraille to the Icon or a PC via USB, does the host device charge the battery in the braille display? I believe this has been promised before, but it would be great to one day see a docking station for the Icon/Braille Plus that has a braille keyboard and integrated braille display, an all in one device, and then there's no need to mess about with bluetooth or worry about losing USB cables.

Yes, the host serves as the charging device.
