Sorry it transitions kinda fast.
If anyone knows how to fix this, or if they have a scanner that works, or if you know if I can find the problem by going through the folders, I would really really really really really really appreciate your help.

Thank you~

  • second part my comment was too long!

-Next if that doesn't work split up your downloads, take half out and see if the problem still exists if it doesn't then you know that the hack is in those folders, keep repeating taking half of that content untill you determine the bad file. That will take a while but it worked for me before. I hope I helped!

  • im a little hesitant to take out downloads...doesnt that cause more glitches and crashes?

  • Have you tried Delphy's downloads organiser, availible on MTS?It should help you...

  • i just tried it out, but how do you know which one is the problem? i tried to go to the guide on sim2wiki but its not showing up

  • I've had the same problem and I had to go through the downloads file the old fashioned way: just trying to remember what was the last hack I downloaded before the problem came, find it and delete the package...

  • yeah but i download in bulk, and ive downloaded a lot of stuff since this first happened so that wont work for me

  • well, this prolly won't help, but it's gonna be a last-resort thing... when I first started TSITT i went a lillte crazy with downloading CC, and the same thing happened to me. So i had to uninstall all my sims EPs and the original TS2, and start from scratch :(

So... yeah that prolly didn't help. Sry, but that's all I got :(

  • it's most likely to be something you downloaded. there's no way to find out which download it is that is the problem but delete all your cc. i keep all my projects and character downloads in folders so i can delete the folder i downloaded most recently, hence not having to delete all my cc.

  • Well, you need to do the following:

1)search by file's name for file that might cause problems

2)just see every type of downloads and decide which one breaks your game

3)you might also scan for orphans.

Its not all that could be done of course...

The best solution is to re-download everything if you dont know what exactly crashed game-was it download with virus or mod that conflicted with other mod and so on...

  • @TudorRoseProductions for me it doesn't but I don't know if thats just for me.

  • I know just sayin =)

  • um you cant exactly tell if its going to be a problem or not when you download it, so...lol
