Doesn't this mean you will have two random holes in your fretboard when you are done? Or do you drill them where the inlays will go?

Actually, you drill the holes in the fret slots. I drill a 1/16 hole which is small enough that the fret covers it completely.

They are right, you should create a dvd. I sure would buy. With special features and extended views, you could easily make $50.00 per video.

What ever the case never ever ever remove these awesome videos. You are an inspiration.

@dubsaloon Rosewood is less expensive but ebony is by far my favorite fingerboard wood

@dubsaloon It is more expensive than rosewood which is the standard, but is much much nicer and well worth the extra $. I will NEVER use rosewood on my fretboards ever again after using ebony. Stewmac.com has rosewood blanks for 15 and ebony for 28. or preslotted and preradiused ones for 20 and 35. I just buy the pre done stuff sometimes when i'm feeling lazy. I know everything is done nicely and accurately + i use a radius sanding block with some 400 grit and smooth it down. STEWMAC IS THE BEST

Isn't the ebony expensive? is there an alternative wood that would work as well at less cost? Hair cut is nice.

Steve, at this point in the construction, have you contoured the width of the fingerboard to be thinner at the headstock and thicker at the body? If so, which video shows you cutting this? Thanks ... and really enjoying this series. Jeff

Good stuff man, I've watched them all up to this point and plan to watch the rest. I Like the Gallagher style peghead, looks nice.
