Jitter Bug is a 4-year-old paso fino molly mule out of our registered paso fino mare John's Rose. Her mother is short but Jitter Bug is 15-2 and around 1,000 pounds. She would be suitable for a person and saddle totalling around 250 pounds currently and will get a little stronger in the next couple years. She is blond sorrel and good looking with some mane and a nice tail. After two months of professional training, John has been trail riding her frequently and she is an excellent trail mule. John thinks that Jitter Bug is the nicest gaited mule that we have raised. She never gets out of a 4-beat gait, no trot or pace. She does a fast, smooth flat walk, a running walk, and a foxtrot. Every step she takes is smooth. She has a sweet, calm temperament. She loves people and gets along well with other horses and mules and dogs. All of our paso fino horses and gaited mules are big pets that love people. This video was taken August 6, 2009, and shows Jitter Bug in a Flat Walk, Running Walk, Foxtrot, and with the Dog. Gaited paso fino mule Jitter Bug is a riding mule for the rider who wants a dependable, stylish, and well-gaited mule for the long term. More pictures and information on our website http://www.jandbpasofinos.com. Owned and ridden by John Niebruegge, Kirksville, MO, 660-341-8568. Jitter Bug has been sold.

  • Do mules always inherit the gaited trait from the mare? I have become awaire that donkeys are gaited too.

  • @Hughganaught

The more gaited the mare, the more likely the mule will have some type of 4-beat gait. Chances of getting a gaited mule are greatly improved when the donkey sire is well-gaited too. Nothing is 100% sure. The genetic dice determines the outcome, just as in people.

  • Did you remove the other video? When I watched it i laughed and cryed at the same time it was so uplifting!!! This is good but the one I saw a few months ago made my heart sing!!! Please put it back on. Or is it I am just not finding it? It is my depression cure!!!

  • @fogmussher

I don't know the video you are talking about. I haven't removed any videos lately.

  • if its out of a paso fino, the "flat walk, running walk, fox trot" are NOT gaits of a paso fino. they would be paso largo, corto, ect...read up on gaits of different breeds so you wont get burned by someone who does not know what there talking about

  • @Azera5

Mules are hybrids, and as such often do hybrid gaits. I assure you that we know the paso fino gaits and all the other 4-beat gaits.
