@abhard6 Lancia have to remove the brake servo to cure the problems and due to that they pulled it out of production. When it was back on sale its reputation was in tatters.
My father had one of these in the early 80s but i didnt know anything about cars at the time or anything about its problems because all i remember was it went fast and it was noisy and it looked good and far more impressive than anything else on the road at the time because it looked futuristic in comparison except for the Lotus Esprit.I remember that it handled better when it had wider wheels fitted which is how my dad improved its handling.
The Lancia Delta Integrale is still one of the best cars on the road for looks and performance but they werent aimed at the UK car market anyway.Theres still plenty around and an example in top condition will apparently set you back about 25,000.
Mainstream Italian cars (not talking about Ferrari's here) are all about looks especially Alfa's and Lancia's.
Nice to look at, but shit to drive. I do miss seeing Lancia's on the road, but they were so fragile even up to 1993 when they pulled the plug on the UK market due to poor sales.
He is a well known car dealer who knows his stuff & aswell as knowing her cars she was a Very sucsesful Womens Rally Champion who was better than a Lot of the male rally drivers at the time.
