I saw these guys at this venue, Windows on the Cumberland; 2nd Ave. in Nashville..way back in 2003. They were rad.

Perhaps you should do a little research as to who Oliver Cromwell was and then fast forward to England's occupation of Belfast and Northern Ireland and how unemployment in the U.K. was at such a state that the only jobs available really were with the military. Elvis Costello caught a lot of slack for this song when he released it back in 78.

Pretty sure its an Epiphone acoustic bass that Al was playing that night. Might have been an El Capitan... For the audio you are hearing it's going direct, but as I recall, he had an SWR head with whatever cabinet was right for the room... Sorry I can't be more specific.
