  • Thank you, and may I be so bold as to ask for

    Please, please, please.

  • Very sorry, but I have already deleted the movie from my hard drive.

  • Ahh old England!

  • It's like an obsession with me, but I'm reading ALL of her books from my library! I'm almost done! Love Agatha Christie books, but her movies with David Suchet as Poirot are fantastic! Love Miss Marple, too! I also have a Sherlock Holmes video collection staring, a favorite actor of mine, Jeremy Brett. Fabulous! These are the best mysteries!

  • Thanks for posting this. I remember that one. I thought the brother, the sister, and the young lady, plus Miss Marple were the highlights of the show.

I agree with those who say Christie's stories should be left alone. Why mess with classics? Her stories sold well when she wrote them and they still are in print today. All the unnecessary additions are a sacrilege.

  • woah this music sounds romantic

  • @vargyna Well said!!! I don't even want to remember the "Nemesis" episode (with Geraldine McEwan, who is very good for the role). It was like an entirely different story!

  • @drloana I saw the 'The Body in the Library' with Geraldine McEwan as Miss Marple. She did OK in the role BUT they changed the identity of one of the killers, which annoyed me more than the added lezbo angle.

As you pointed out, the stories are solid in themselves and don't benefit from being messed around with.

  • @vargyna Oh yes! Doesn't it look like a bit sacrilegious? Not that there weren't any back then, but I want to watch a Christie movie just the way I read it, not for any other reason but only because it was perfect!!!

  • @drloana Have you seen the Marple adaptations with all the homosexual stuff added?

  • Just love Andrew Bicknell. So gorgeous!

  • Beautiful house at 2:10 !!!

  • I like the rural character of this scene! Great, when Megan fall off her bike. So sorry, that this movie isn't available in Germany.

  • Indeed!! Sometimes I think it was better back then. Noble men and feminine women. Great days...
