Chapter 15
[Allisons POV]
The next day went by pretty fast. Rehearsal, practice, watching Michelle and Adam snuggle, and then throw up. Yup, today was normal. Yes, there was sarcasm there. As I was getting dressed, Kris knocked on Dannys door. I opened it. Good thing Kris has seen me in boxers and tees like Danny has.
"Hi, Kris." I said, letting him in. Kris looked over my shoulder, looking at Danny sleeping. He was always last to get up.
"Morning. Just wanted to see how you were. I saw the little episode last night." Kris said, referring to the Michelle-Adam thing. I nodded, understanding.
"I just...I dont know anymore, Kris, really, I dont." I said, picking out an outfit for today.
"I know you like Adam, Allison. Its no mystery you two have chemistry. You feel like Michelles standing in your way, right?" Kris asked. I sniffled and turned to him. I nodded, trying to stop tears from dripping down my face.
He hugged me tightly. "Yes, Kris, I do! And, how am I supposed to see how Adam feels when shes always with him and playing with his emotions?! I was going to tell him last night how I felt, but I was interrupted by the WORST sister ever!" I said, crying into his shoulder.
"She may not be the worst sister ever, but she is going a little far." Kris admitted. "Maybe you should talk to her. Or tell Adam before Michelle wakes up how you feel or something."
"I tried telling him, remember? If I tell him I am in love with him, hell just tell me its a phase and that it means nothing! I know him, Kris!" I shouted.
"So do I! And there is something I know that could prove your statement wrong on the spot, but I cant say anything! You have to figure it out on your own. Allison, if I know Adam, he loves you, I can tell." Kris assured.
"Kris, I just cant do this right now! The finales coming up, touring, I am not about to screw with that! My music career means more to me then anything!" I cried.
"More then Adam?" Kris asked.
"Kris..." He glared at me. "No, Adam means more to me then my music."
"Then go for it, Allie! I am backing you up 100%, al the way. And so is that lug over there." Kris said, pointing to Danny, as he was still asleep.
"Alright. Ill tell him. Michelle turns in early, so Ill grab him around 9." I said.
"Dont make a full plan, Allison. Just do what your heart says and youll be fine." Kris said, before leaving.
I sat on my bed and sighed. I have to tell him, I have to. I went to the balcony and watched Adam and Michelle watching The Notebook on the couch. I looked down and thought.
"Just tell him. Now or never. Lets do this." I psyched myself up for it.
[Adams POV]
I smiled at Michelle. She smiled back and went back to watching the movie. But, when I watched her watching the movie, all I could imagine in my head was Allie. Her bright red hair, her spitfire attitude, and her insanely cool personality. Her image was plastered into my head. There was no way to get it out.
"Um, Michelle? Will you excuse me? I need to...make a call." I got up and went into the kitchen and sat on the high stool. I hit my hand on the counter. "She was my best friend..."
Danny walked in staring at me. "You okay, dude?"
"Does it look like Im okay? Im a mess! Ive got a girl sitting in the living room thinking I am making a call when I am trying to figure out my damn feelings for Allison!" I shouted, angry.
"Hey, Adam, chill. That girl in the living room, shes just here to confuse you. Leave her out. Just focus on what you feel for Allison, not Michelle." Danny said. I nodded.
"Alright. But, if this gets messed up, Im coming for you, Gokey." I said.
"Whatever, man." Danny laughed and walked away. I went back to Michelle.
"Hey, I missed you." Michelle said, moving to place her hands on my chest and resting her head on me. I just put my arm around her and fake smiled.
"Yeah, missed you, too." I said quietly....why does life and love have to be so complicated?
