so you are telling me that the "option" of taking a video is 100% at the officer's discretion? I believed, at first, that this would support people's rights, but it couldn't have been further from the truth. Scary stuff.

When it comes down to these matters the more videos the better. The problem is When you see a man shoot another man in the back it doesnt matter how many videos you have if the person is a police officer because they will get payed vacation and help from his buddys getting out of it

With the officers choosing when to or even if to turn on the video... This will do nothing to help stop police abuse.

I like the idea but I want to see some security on the videos, such as CRC checks, backups and permissions enforcement to make it harder to modify the videos.

Cameras have only ever benefited the state -- and rarely, if ever they were rolling, the citizen.
