The film, a training film, details what it's like to be a streetcar or trolley operator during the period (late 1940s) trolleys operated in Los Angeles, California. Part 3 of 3, includes bus operator training on motor coaches and electric trolley buses.

Presented by Los Angeles Transit Lines, the latter (1945-1958) was the successor to Los Angeles Railway (1895-1945) and Los Angeles Motor Bus Companies.

  • National City Lines owned LATL and is run by General Motors, Firestone Tire, and Standard Oil from 1945 to 1958. This trolley shown is an H4 class, built in the mid Twentys.

  • The city goverment was the one that finally ended with streetcars and trolleybuses in Los Angeles in 1963... no local rail transport until the opening of the Blue Line streetcar on the 1990´s.
