  • @mmaguy2008 Original JKD has nothing fancy about it!!!! It is direct, fast, adaptable and hard! Oh and it works!!! The problem is soooo many people are saying they do JKD, when in fact it is a mix of various martial arts so they think that is what JKD is (it is more than that!)! My instructor was taught by Jerry Poteet & Ted Wong, who were Bruce Lees pupils, everything we do is direct, and no movement is ever done unless it is to attack, or defend by attacking!!! Can't get more direct than that

  • Good gob, felicidades chicos muy buena tecnica

  • Another " JKD are only these moves" Look Richardson teaches only what works with precision and technique. He is awesome. Learned JKD from Dan Inosanto Bruce Lee's best friend.

  • Justaboy94 your name says it all. You dont know shit. These matches are technical and all these guys are really good. (I trained with Burton so I know. You wont see any so called original JKD cause that shit dont work against real resistance. These guys are using good solid footwork in knife fighting and basic effective attacks not fancy bullshit moves that look cool but dont work worth a fuck. Some of these guys are blue and purple belts in BJJ so their grappling is good too.

  • Even "Masters" look rediculous many times when faced with an unruly oppoenent. Sparring is an equal part of training but should the skills and attributes we just saw be elevated to an Level 1 Instructor? Still a cool vid :)

  • But I digress, I more want to comment on this video. I agree with many here, too much grappling / poor grappling, no decent kicking/punching range entrances, sloppy knife head attacks, and a lack of decent attack interception. I do have to say...as young fighters, it's tough to make a video look good when your oppenent isn't cooperating. Typically inexperienced fighters think too much showing a lack of training. Or they think too little because their training was crap.

  • This walkerlangley kid is learning some pretty decent stuff and is quite humble. Has Jimi trained with Sifu Richardson? Maybe the kids are learning crap and shoudn't be promoted to instructors based on that test, but do you really need to full on attack this kid for saying his piece? His training keeps him in shape and could save a life one day even if this video doesn't show much. Jimi you should keep up the truthful comments, educating others about what JKD is, rather than what it's not.

  • Ok i have a comment. I dare post for fear of getting ass rammed by JunFanJimi. I don't have 25 years of self accolades to give myself. Let's assume most of you all can kick my tail so let's get passed the internet fear staredown. I semi respected Jimi for his multitude of knowledgable comments on "JKD" videos around youtube. He typically speaks truth but this lashing out on walkerlangley stems from something sad. WTH Jimi? You wake up on the wrong side of the bed?

  • Sifu Richardsons clip to me clearly shows he dosen't know what to teach, he's made up a grading and thrown all the sparing in to make it look to his candidates that they've earned something, gone through some sort of ordeal to prove their worth. Bruce would have called this feeding the masses junk, or, making a autumn leaf appear as a golden coin to a child. This clip is great for fitness, but so is jogging, the fact remains his students clearly don't know what JKD is, their sloppy:)

  • So how do you become aware of what you are? Via an instructor perhaps. Who instructed the instructor, etc. What is awareness? Why are humans more aware of themselves than animals? What is consciousness of self?

See it's to big a subject for chit chat.

Comparing me to Richardson isn't the point, the point is as I stated, go back read my 1st comment and see if it is wrong and unreasonable about the clip.Richardsons clip is NOT JKD! It's just an eclectic mix of things.
