@c903jerk Installing a new fan not according to manufacturer instructions can void the warranty. And potential become a hazard. But ultimately the decision is yours.

How do you install a ceiling fan or light in a spot that doesnt have the wiring there?

@asdfxyz1 We will be coming out with that video in the future. It's a little to complicated to explain here, other than speak to a licensed electrician, know your local building codes. And then install a new switch, if your box will fit it. If not install a new box. Run your wire up inside the wall through the attic. Then install a metal reinforced junction box in your desired location. Be sure to make all connections inside a box as well as use approved wire connectors.
