  • This would be the ultimate pawn shop or garage sale find...I'm stoked just to see this video...

  • I know just what you mean! Tokk a few dollars more to actually get my own setup!

  • sick

  • Hey being stuck in 1977 gets confusing... I just got used to bad meaning good... the other day someone told me 'sick' means super bad or is that good... jeez get me a Jack Daniels. Hey enjoy the pitch and slide, and thanks for watching bud... Long live real Hagstroms!

  • Sem is the power!

  • I too owned the exact guitar pictured here. Picked it up at a guitar store on Long Island. I paid $100, back in 1988. Sold it in 2000 to a collector for $1500. Nice to see how it was "supposed" to work. Never had the fancy plug or electronics. Sounded great as a plain old guitar. Hagstroms had that "Swedish Steel" which was purer and superior to any American guitar. Thanks for posting!

  • I want one!! Where can I order this?

  • I have seen this type of guitar in Sweden. It cool but little complicated to play. I prefer the old fashion way. I have a 1978 Hagstrom hiin. love the old hag. Skål

  • Hagstrom needs to do a remake of this or at least a reissue with modern touches

  • wow... it is SO yes-like! love it!

  • Yes. I did. I meant nice playing from 6.27 about half a minute.

  • Did you watch the video? ;)

  • Looks like a fun instrument. I can imagine making them contrast. Make the guitar sound Dick Dale style with a theremin-like synthesizer sound or making the guitar sound very clean and set the synthesizer to a low rough sound. Nice playing at 6.27
