  • It depends. In the sub, he sounds more vulnerable when he laughs, more unstable. In the dub, he sounds like an evil genius or a mad scientist. They both sound good to me, but I'd choose dubs any day, simply because I speak english and it's easier to put up with. I'm not saying all dubs are superior to subs, though.

  • I agree with ometta7, except death note overall I'd prefer the subs, but the dubs especially for Ryuk and Light are pretty damn good. Brad Swaile did a great job with light but at some parts of the last scene he sounded like greg ayres or something, lol.

  • the audio is what someone recorded from adultswim showing. The video is taken from the same source but switched the audio for english. There is no dvd release yet for this episode.

  • lol, in english when light laugh he sounds like a bitch

  • lol, The one in English is funny. He's so squeaky xD

So yeah, Japanese is better in my opinion. (He sounds like a man! Nice, deep voice, especially when speaking.)

  • I usually go for dub but DN Japanese is so much better, they sound fake in English.

  • Most dubs made these days are fine, everything funimation is putting out is great. There are few dubs I cant stand, but most of these are old or are dubbed by some shitty asian company for asia. For me its 90% dub, 10% sub.

  • @JerkininSpace Which is why he watches it subtitled.

  • @xXTheAkatsukiXx You don't know the reason why OoWoHooOo prefers to watch Death Note in Japanese. So don't pretend you know.

  • @xXTheAkatsukiXx Naruto is an anime. Anime is made by Japanese people. Liking anime, manga or Japanese video games does not make you a Japanese wannabe, a lot of people just like Japanese media.

  • @xXTheAkatsukiXx Watching anime in Japanese does not make you a Japanese wannabe. It's personal preference. Some people prefer to watch anime in Japanese and other people like to watch anime in English. I like watching anime in both Japanese and Englsih.

  • @xXTheAkatsukiXx Where is your proof he is Japanese? A lot of people who watch anime prefer it in Japanese but a lot of them are not Japanese. It's just personal preference. Some people like the voice acting in Japanese while others like it in English.

  • @xXTheAkatsukiXx (Continued from my last post)...Japanese people watch anime in Japan because it's in their orginal language and because they probably like it better in Japanese. They also watch it in Japanese because anime come out in Japan first since anime is made in Japan. Also why do you watch anime if you think Japanese people are racist? Anime is made in Japan. Let me just remind you that Japanese people are not racist.

  • @xXTheAkatsukiXx You seriously are a total idiot. How the does watching anime in Japanese make you racist? A lot of americans watch anime in Japanese but that does NOT make them racist, they just watch it in Japanese because it's their personal preference. Also what makes you think Japanese people are racist? There is not a single piece of information which suggests that Japanese people are racist. Continued...

  • The dub wasn't that bad unlike the other anime I've seen 'coughyu-gi-ohpokemonlove-hinaonepiecechobitsandmanymorecough'. Man that was a bad cough...
