  • antiquated? More like refined. There aren't many ways to X amount of reliable power with a minimum amount of weight. I would like to see the weight of car engine that puts out the same amount of power as this engine. The beauty is in the simplicity and power/weight ratio.

  • Saddly, most aircraft engines are indeed "crappy" compared to modern car engines. They are just plain antiquated, for one thing. Still, making a few hundred horsepower at 2700rpm isn't an easy task, especialy with the FAA breahing down your neck while you are doing it.

  • What? You say you have made an aircraft engine that is better than a Continental? With perfect fuel/air dist.? With a carb? That is economical? May God help you, too, my good sir. ;-)
