GAMIjector calibrated fuel injection nozzles correct the characteristic air/fuel imbalance problems in most Continental engines. Here's how they're made.
antiquated? More like refined. There aren't many ways to X amount of reliable power with a minimum amount of weight. I would like to see the weight of car engine that puts out the same amount of power as this engine. The beauty is in the simplicity and power/weight ratio.
Saddly, most aircraft engines are indeed "crappy" compared to modern car engines. They are just plain antiquated, for one thing. Still, making a few hundred horsepower at 2700rpm isn't an easy task, especialy with the FAA breahing down your neck while you are doing it.
What? You say you have made an aircraft engine that is better than a Continental? With perfect fuel/air dist.? With a carb? That is economical? May God help you, too, my good sir. ;-)
