  • champcars were so much better than IRL

  • Seriously, right after I post "I need my racing fix" on Facebook, Indycar posts this video. It's like they read my mind! Thanks Indycar.

  • Even the Champcar Lolas, which CC fans considered ugly slugs, were waaaaay faster than the Dallaras buzzing around today. I like having the new series under Cowboy Randy but waiting a whole nother year for the new chassis is brutal...

  • Champcar <333

  • It's just a shame that this series died off...well, not really, because it joined with Indycar, but I know a lot of people don't really dig that. (me included) But hey, it'll get better in 2012, with that new design, and with Lotus and Chevy coming back along with Honda. (btw, Lotus and Chevy also are designing aero kits for the cars, not just engines)

  • CART/Champ Car will always be better then IRL.

  • All I can say is this is the best gift I've ever had! know how much I've been wanting an 05 Chamo car race in full!?..... a lot.

  • @HollywoodSheen Those teams left because the split drove fans and sponsors away. Reunification was the only thing that would've and did stop the bleeding. I may prefer the older Lola-Ford IndyCars over the current Dallara-Honda IndyCars, but I rather watch the best IndyCar teams and drivers race the current Dallara-Honda IndyCars than no IndyCars.

  • @IndyCarAce b/c they have no other choice, there's no other open wheel series around, IRL is their only opportunity to run an team. Yes a few CC teams run IRL now, but many of them left (Walker Racing, Rusport, Pacific Coast, Forsythe, Minardi)

  • @IndyCarAce Maybe if they unified w/in a year or two after the initial split then it could've possibly salvaged indycar racing in the eyes of the public, but it got to a point in the early 2000's where a unification was meaningless b/c the damage had already been done. People after a couple years of 2 dueling series lost interest & stopped watching. After 00-01 both series may as well have just operated separately. They're unified now & nothing has changed, shitty tv ratings & low attendance

  • @rt2000pilot If today's IndyCars aren't real race cars, then why are the teams (including former CART/CC teams) still racing them?
