HOW DO YOU PLUG THIS IN??? I got one and can't find where to plug it in...

This is indeed a "mono" player, circa 1958- several years before CBS/Columbia decided to get out of the phonograph (and electronics) business in 1961, and concentrate on marketing records only. They had hoped to be as powerful a force in the "turntable" business [and radios, TV's and assorted appliances, for that matter] as RCA was, but there were financial- and some technical- problems that were a drain on CBS' resources, forcing chariman William Paley to discontinue "record players" for good.

@skinnygirl2808 Yes Tight fit did do a cover version of "The lion sleeps tonight" but it is not the original version. That was by The Tokens in 1961 then was a huge hit for Robert john in the 70's.

@skinnygirl2808 how much did you get on Ebay for it? I just picked up a Columbia 360 speaker set today, I'm uploading a video right now about them.

I have one of these old 360 Columbia record players in MINT CONDITION, not a scratch on it. I bought it at an antique store for $50. I replaced all the tubes and put a new needle on it and took the turntable part off and lubricated all parts, and she plays like a dream and it is SUPER LOUD. A note though......if anyone has this same one.....only play MONO records.....do not play STEREO ones....it will ruin them.

That Look a lot like Pye black Box over here in the UK but they had BSR or Garrard 209 or 210 decks in then

Awesome! I just bought one of these off an old guy at a flea market in Greenville, SC for $25. It's in rough shape, but it works. It needs tubes though because you can barely hear the record. It's 50 watts and tube driven. It's basically a tube amp attatched to tiny speakers and a turn table. Now I see what it will be like when I get it fixed. I'm excited.
You can be pride to have it... a genuine Columbia apparatus in a very nice condition not a chinese fake! Now Columbia belongs to SONY and their products now are specialized in CD/DVD of film and music! What is the tune playing on? Congratulations!

Thanks mate.
I actually sold it on ebay.
I am not technical enough to own such an awesome little kit and would not have been able to fix it if anything went wrong.
I hope the new owners love it.
The tune is 'Rhythm, Movement, Throbbing' by Tight Fit.
Thanks for your comments.

Hi Damusician,
I think I've replied already, but this is a very funky song straight from the 70's by the band that sang "Lion Sleeps Tonight". The band is "Tight Fit"... The song is "Rhythm, Movemement and Throbbing". Yes.. Funny name :)
