@keanesk - No, it is a rather old breed. They are over four hundred years old, and have been unchanged since the 1800's. They are closely related with the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and are called King Charles Spaniel outside of the US. The Cavalier is descending from the "Charlie".

This is truly one of THE MOST BEAUTIFUL English Toy Spaniels I'v ever seen. I also have a tri ET boy (named Romeo) - they are the sweetest, most gentle, loving creatures on the planet (although mine doesn't sing anywhere near as well as Guido). Thank you for sharing this, and his other concert performances. I'm certain he brings much joy, love and sunshine into your life.

Its moderate. They need to be groomed every couple of days and that keeps it under control. They are small so it is not that much to begin with.
