Religion can not for any reazon be forced upon another. But.......fear can make things happen?!

@Bashir38, I hope the Egyptian authorities protect her from her savage pursuers. This is the 21 century, we believe there should be no compulsion in religion on anybody. We have seen so many of these cases already, Coptic girls seeking protection from their community. Orthodox Copts should not be allowed to capture these fugitive girls and abuse them in remote convents "Till they come back to their senses". It would be a shame.

LOL. "Forced to convert to Islam" ??? How can you force anybody to convert to any religion, especially Islam. Islam requires a huge devotion and lots of work (five daily prayers, fasting a whole month of Ramadan), it can't be forced on anybody who is unwilling to do it.

Here is the most likely scenario, Mona discovered Islam and became aware of the lies, contradictions, and inconsistencies within her religion. She chose Islam. Fearful for her life from vengeful Copts, she made a run for it.

but this doesn't mean that i'm blind to al the stares people give me because i'm wearing a cross or the comments i hear. what kind of religion teaches to kill ? then it is not called a religion...it then becomes like a gang or a mafia....but do not call it works of God.

but just as there is christian converts thee are a million muslim ones to the people in egypt dont know about them because they have to escape quickly enough so no one finds them and or kills them. i live in california and most of them come here after their escape, i have many of them as very close friends , so people please dont tell me its not true. i go to egypt at least 3 or 4 times a year, i think it is the best place in the world.

it is not impossible for a christian to become muslim. it is impossible though to convert to Christianity from without someone getting killed or thrown in jail. the people saying otherwise dont know half of the things happening in egypt. Most christians convert to islam because its the only way to maintain a respectable lifestyle in egypt,and the only way to escape the comments people make about christians all day everyday.

A close friend of mine has had asylum in the UK granted because this happened to her back in Egypt. She's genuine I'm sure. This subject just doesn't get the attention it deserves...I'd never heard of it.

seriously ? how could she want to convert when she was on her way to make WEDDING ARRANGEMENTS ??? there was evidence the egyptien government just doenst like making muslims look retarded. wo it was never released. Mona was a happy christian..and not many people would give that up for islam.
