Release Date: Jul 10, 2009
Genre: Comedy
Cast: Mark Duplass, Joshua Leonard
Studio: Magnolia Pictures
MPAA: R
Plot:
Its been a decade since Ben (Duplass) and Andrew (Leonard) were the bad boys of their college campus. Ben has settled down and found a job, wife, and home. Andrew took the alternate route as a vagabond artist, skipping the globe from Chiapas to Cambodia. When Andrew shows up unannounced on Bens doorstep, they easily fall back into their old dynamic of macho one-upmanship. Late into the night at a wild party, the two find themselves locked in a mutual dare: to enter an amateur porn contest together. But what kind of boundary-breaking, envelope pushing porn can two straight dudes make? After the booze and big talk run out, only one idea remains—they will have sex togetheron camera. Its not gay; its beyond gay. Its not porn; its art. But how exactly will it work? And more importantly, who will tell Anna (Delmore), Bens wife?

  • i just saw the movie and totally liked it

    the conversations were awesome :)

  • I just read most of the comments here. This isn't a gay movie at all. Anyone who thinks so hasn't seen it. The point of the movie is that one guy wants to think he is open-minded enough to entertain the thought of having one gay sex moment. The other guy, an 'artist' who thinks he's a lot more open-minded than he really is, turns out to be unable to even try it. There is no gay sex at all. Just some interesting thoughts: do we know outselves completely? our spouses? our best friends?

  • "Jay Reatard - Hammer I Miss You"

  • @tigershump11 no they're not.

  • ALL THE COMMENTS ARE CONTRADICTING!!

  • I enjoyed the movie quite a bit. No its not about gay sex, but its about everything else..labels, sexuality, polyamory, self perception, and the multifaceted sides we all have. The improv does go a bit stale sometimes, but there are so many great, awkward, cringe worthy moments it would make Judd Apetow proud

  • that movie sucks
