  • Just saying Bettas are like any other fish THEY SHOULD NOT BE KEPT IN BOWLS. THEY NEED A HEARER AND A FILTER AND DECORATIONS LIKE ANY OTHER FISH WOULD. PLEASE THUMBS UP THIS COMMENT. TOGETHER WE CAN SAVE TROPICAL FISH!

  • @MySweetParadigm how would you like to be kept in a tiny freezing room all your life? I am actually not going to be angry because this is just a mere case of ignorance. Not calling you stupid, just acknoledging your little knowledge on fish care.

  • did it hurt ;p

  • @bulldoglacrosse

I do not agree that they need a filter. It is like giving a healthy athlete an oxygen tank. I do however agree strongly that a betta tank should have a heater.

They are fish used to topical waters, if you are not from a tropical country like Australia; then you should definately invest in a heater.

Another fun fact is fish grow to thier enviroment :P no tank is too small.

  • Hasn't studies been done showing that betta fish actually do prefer to be in a small places?

  • I had a red one for about 3 years

  • as if a betta really can hurt you, it's not like a bear. it's a fish.

  • it hate u for giving it small ass bowl I keep my in a 1.5 gallon tank and is happy and shows love every time i feed it

  • Bitch they don't hurt.

  • Umm.... Guys? It isn't all that small of a container. Relax. Sure, it does need a filter and heater. But really, how do you know they don't live in a really warm climate where a heater would be a waste? Or that they have tested the ammonia and nitrite levels and have cycled the bowl via plant? Okay, sticking fingers into the bowl for the fish to go after was a little odd... but you don't know the circumstances. Suggest ways to improve. Encourage growth. Stop with these stupid snide remarks.

  • @Anima1over , its a fucking fish!!! not a dog get over it, your acting like i killed and eat it. . -_-!!!!!!!!!

  • @Jaymieg15 Would you be in prison or free? Of course free, so why to even keep fish is prsisons? Just asking...
