Last month I went down to Crows Nest for work and I took the Remington Rolling Block down for a bit of fun over distances greater than 200M (the limit for our range here in Far North Queensland). We shot out to 500m and had a ball, except for the bloody wind, it never gives up.

  • that's a pretty big spitzer!! what's that? 450 500 grains? too bad it's not as strong as a ruger no 1- you could really load it up then.....though i bet it you wouldn't want to shoot it too much...

  • The load is 480 gn Lyman #2 lead in 457658 design, SPG lube, 70 Gn Wano powder. The pressure of black powder is fine in the old action and I have plenty of fun with it. I intend to use it regularly for metalic silhouette competition. Regards Russ4570

  • Thanks, I bought it cause I had too much spare time on my hands. Black powder reloading does take a while but the efforts are worth it.
