  • @IAteMyFriends I thought doom was also categorized as extreme metal? Especially funeral doom...

  • @hailMichaelSwaim This is hard to say. Funeral and Death Doom definately are extreme Metal. Classical Doom sounds similar to very slow and sad Hard Rock. Listening to Stoner Doom, such as Witchcraft or Jex Thoth, you'd rather think of Prog Rock like Deep Purple. Nothing to do with Metal

  • I'm black and my best friend is a punkrocker. He always forced me to listen to rock, and after some time I actually started to listen to some of the tracks he played. Eventually, I fell in love with Bloodbath, especially this song. That's why so many people are suprised to hear that I love this type of rock (dunno exactly what kind of rock this is.)

Keep up the good work Bloodbath =)

  • @superawesomeboy

This isn't any kind of Rock, but it developed from it. This is Death Metal, more exactly swedish Death Metal, being different to american Death metal (example: look out for Deicide at my channel, they're from Florida ;D).

1969 Black Sabbath (you know Ozzy Osbourne, their vocalist) played an innovative form of Rock, later called Heavy Metal. Metal emerged to more than 300 different subgenres like Death, Thrash and Black Metal (those three are called Extreme Metal).

  • still the best off this album!

  • peter tagtgren's voice slays everyone else's. so fucking evil

  • Behold, the boob is hiding in the clothes..

  • @hailMichaelSwaim honestly, the more ambiguous intragenres of metal, like extreme metal, are always sort of a pain in the ass to classify. where you can tell death metal and black metal by sound, the term extreme metal is too ambiguous and the term becomes personalized from one to another.

  • man, I wish this song actually lasted 7.33 minutes :(

  • But commenting on the video itself, Dan Swano is a legend! I swear, that man craps solid gold

  • @IAteMyFriends Although I think what it all boils down to in the end is doom metal is categorized primarily through slow tempos and down-tuned guitars, which provides a hell of a lot of room for variation and diversity.

  • @IAteMyFriends Yeah, I definitely agree about classic/epic doom type styles being categorized under a non-extreme subgenre, although I think Stoner doom can be a lot more dependent simply on the band. While Jex Thoth, Witchcraft, and the like are most certainly not extreme, other stoner bands, like Sleep, High On Fire, YOB, and Electric Wizard at least have a solid argument for being included under the extreme moniker.
