she wants to separate herself because she probably felt like she would never be able to measure up so by being completely different from jessica allows her to not be in competition with her sister or being compared to her sister...

Well, its not easy to have a better voice than Jessica Simpson but i love that raspy voice Ashlee has, its unique to me<3 Ashlee

i like Ashlee and everything but she has no idea what she was doing as an artist. and she never took it really seriously judging form this show.
