The story of the Hungarian Glad Woman, Boldogasszony, must be told with perspective because the song speaks to a longing, a pleading for the Goddess of All Heaven to not forget her people during their times of great crisis. I was one of those people, having survived WWII and the Hungarian Revolution. I sang this song to the Goddess Boldogasszony many a night. The Glad Woman is a sacred Goddess to the Hungarians, and many tear up when they hear this version of the Glad Woman song I sang with Robert Gass. Stories like this and more are in my autobiography, so visit me at www.ZBudapest.com for more insights. Blessed be, ZB
My Goddess-Mother is also from Hungary, and was able to escape during this time too. She continues to have issues with loud bangs because of the bombs imprinted in her memory.
My heart goes out to you, and I thank you for sharing your story.
Blessed Be.
