  • Also are you taking circumference measurements, to get a body fat estimate? I find before and after pictures to be helpful as well. Keep working hard girl, your doing great!

  • @ladygi19 I am not doing measurements, but I suppose I could. Do I just do my waist? or is it better to include bust and hips too? any ideas? Thanks for all the encouragement - it means a lot! :)

  • I just got my bodybugg today! I am so excited! A few of my Vlogs have some resistance training in them. Also not if your new to weight training your body may jump up five pound or so give or take initially, this is not all muscle gain although some of it is. Your muscles are 70% water. If your staying hydrated then your body is holding onto more water as you gain lean mass. This is not a bad thing. You might not see it on the scale but the composition of your body is changing for the better. :)

  • @ladygi19 Yay for bodybugg!! :) I hope you love it! Thanks for the info re: muscle gain/water gain - that's totally new info for me. I've seen you work with kettle bells in your vids - do you like them? They don't have any of those at my gym, where did you get yours?

  • @crp50403 Ergh.. I totally get the school thing! :P It really depends on what you have available - I'm definitely a gym kind of girl - I like the eliptical and the treadmill. But, in a pinch I just run up and down stairs or go for a walk as far as cardio goes :)

  • @mysteryguest1948

Nothing scheduled. I let my school get in teh way of it. So I need to start... any suggestions on exersizes i can squeez in somewhere?!

  • @mysteryguest1948 I bought mine from a sporting good store. Sports Authority, Dicks sporting goods, ect... Wal-mart even carries 5,10, and 15 pounders now! Generally speaking you would have to go to a place that sells weight equipment to get weights higher then that. I love them because they work so many more muscle groups at the same time, some you might not even know exist till they are sore that first day. Some great workouts are posted on youtube as well. Keep pushing yourself! :)

  • @mysteryguest1948 I measures Neck ~

    Bust (over the nipple) ~

Waist (smallest portion, not necessarily over belly button unless your apple shaped then around the center),~

hips (largest portion between hip bones and the bottom of the buttocks) ~

    Upper arm (Largest area) ~

    forearm (right below elbow) ~

Thigh (largest portion between groin and knee) ~

    Calf (largest portion) ~

Only measure one side of the body for extremities, and all on the same side, every time.

    Hope thats helpful

  • @mysteryguest1948 There is a spot you can add your measurements into the bodybugg program so that you can watch your BF% decrease and Lean Body mass increase. I am sure it will help maintain motivation when the scale wont budge. There are two different measurement matrixes you can choose from. One has more spots to measure then the other. I figured if I was going to measure I might as well measure it all. Only has to be re-taped 2x a month so no big deal.

  • @crp50403 I do like seeing some progress! What sort of diet/exercise do you currently do?
