  • I went from driving a Frieghtliner Sportchassis with a 6 speed Allison to a Pete 387 converted motorhome with an 18 speed Autoshift. Prior to my motorhome, I drove a 13 speed manual like twice and did a fairly decent job. The Autoshift made life simple behind the wheel. Like advertised, they literally cut down on the learning curve. It took me just a couple of hours to know everything as far as how it works.

  • @creamyfilling102 I don't look at the shifter because I drive an a ten speed automatic. I

down shifted in school double-clutching a manual trans because that's all they had. I

didn't think you could down-shift a manual trans without double-clutching. If you and others can do it, more power to you.

  • @burkewhb and i quote: "while you're farting around with your stick shift you could be doing something useful like watching the road ahead or your gauges".....

  • @creamyfilling102 I don't take my eyes off the road to shift, and you clearly are an

    asshole.

  • @burkewhb nobody double clutches after they pass their driving test. learn to slip shift like everybody else. and if you need to take your eyes off the road to watch the stick as you shift, you clearly don't know how to drive.

  • Sooo, you clutch select direction then once moving its the same as an automatic??? do you have to let off the throttle for it to shift or can you just hold it to the wood ????

  • @creamyfilling102 You'll love it.You won't be tired from all that shifting,Just sit back and enjoy the ride. I've been driving truck for 26 yrs. I think it's the best thing ever made. Welcome to the trucking world brother. Not all trucks will be made like this. If you like to shift it's all good, after do it for so long it's just right for me. Good luck in all that you do. Take care.

  • @burkewhb didnt liek the early ultrash*ts but the later ones were better im admitting. still like manuals, BUT id take an ultrashift out. ESPECIALLY in city driving lol

  • @TheCm900 Duh! I'm too stupid to learn how to use an automatic transmission! It's morons like you who

give truckers a bad name. You like double clutching a million times in rush hour traffic? Your left knee isn't

going to last too long, either. Also, while you're farting around with your stick shift you could be doing something

useful like watching the road ahead or your gauges.

  • @TheCm900 That's because you're an idiot.
