Why don't you just treat your hair and let it grow? Just like Camila Pitanga (when she was younger) or Adriana Lima?
I use to keep my hair very short for the same reasons (I'm white, but afro descendent, and my hair is naturally pretty rebel, just like Maria Betânia's), but then I started to make "escova progressiva" and stopped to cut it and TADAH!!! Super long non-rebel hair in a few years!
Wigs are so weird, they're for bald people or for costumes parties!!!
GO NATURAL!!!
