  • Thank you for your wonderful comments. On a side note, Scott's Liquid Gold is not a polish, but a treatment and wood preservative and we do recommend that the surface is buffed dry after application.

  • This stuff is not that good, seems to leave a oily residue after applied then wiped, I have to come back and wipe again in ten minutes, I would give it a six out of ten. Yhe only time I use it is when i run out of Pledge.

  • Thank you for your comment. Just to offer clarification on the use of Scott's Liquid Gold. It is an oil-based product for treating and preserving wood and not a polish. We recommend using Scott's Liquid Gold by applying and then letting it sit so the oils can penetrate the natural finished or unfinished surface to restore moisture loss; then buff dry. Many museums and antique dealers use it because of its ability to restore the wood's richness and protect from warping.

  • yeah Liquid Gold is the BEST...especially the pourable version for restoring old wood. Its hard to find in stores and ordering from their website is the best.

yes you do need to wipe it off /buff it after several minutes, but its better than the other products for revitalizing old, dry antique wood. Its different than Pledge and other sprays...

  • I think this stuff is great, it worked wonders on a 140 year walnut chair that barely had any finish left at all. Yes, it does leave a slight oil on the surface but less than most polishes, I give it a 9 out of 10
