Our walk around Binghamton's South Side with a look at the Vestal Avenue / Pennsylvania Avenue intersection, the devastated MacArthur Elementary School, Conklin Avenue and the Exchange Street Bridge. It was much worse than we expected.
The kids from MacArthur School are now taking classes at the former St Catherine's School in Hillcrest and the former St Thomas Aquinis school in Binghamton. The visuals across the Exchange Street Bridge into Downtown and the depth of the water there... the Woodburn Court senior housing towers are still closed, as are all the Housing Authority townhomes... all devasted in the flooding. This video is so moving with it's music - here's to Binghamton rising from the flood and mud together.
Thank you very much for posting this. I'm from Port Crane and now live in California and have been glued to YouTube trying to get a view of all the damage - this is the best I've seen. I hope you and your family and friends are ok and didn't get flooded out.. Sorry to all those who did. It looks devastating. - Take care.
Thanks for posting this! My niece lives there. All we've heard is that she evacuated and her home is flooded to the roof. I'm not seeing that high of a level of water in this video. Is there a part of town that is deeper than this??
Awesome video really shows the power of the river!
