@armedturtle You're kidding, right? Put the thing in context; the 2000 was a '69 and at that time, nothing and I mean nothing could do that. Your Rodeo played "catch-up" at best. How many years later? Pleeeeeeeeez, you're talking out of your ass kid.
Bought my 2000 from a neighbor who had blown the head for 850$ back in 1971. It cost me another 800 to get it back to stock. The old guy mechanic who did the work at the Datsun dealership was like a kid, taking me out on the local Interstate to show me something he said no other car would do. At 30mph in 5th gear, stomping the gas,........no valve clatter, just a very throaty load-up that eventually reached close to 7,000 rpm, still in top gear. What an engine!!! I miss my baby!!
I've fallen in love with these cars. Absolutely beautiful. This might be a silly question, but what's it like to drive? And do you know the rough curb weight?
Very nice, I like it without the panasports......We've got a '68 + '70......Peace

@oriskany;
it does take a bit, but ive actually started accelerating from 5th ( with just me in the truck) and itll make it up to the top end.
btw, i freaking love these little roadsters, hopefully one day itll sit beside my 240 and be my "other datsun"
