I stopped by the Ford dealership where I bought my 98 Van...and I couldn't resist videoing these supercars! The first 302 has approximately 900 miles on the odometer, so it's "on sale"! The Shelby GT500 is a real beauty...and is at sticker price...I'd say that is a rare thing at dealers today! The last car is a brand new Boss 302, so that one is priced $5000 over sticker. I had the opportunity to sit in the Boss 302, and the linkage was to my liking. If I had the money, the Shelby would be in my garage!

  • I would never buy a car from a dealership that charges over sticker for any car on their lot...no matter what the demand. The dealership that sold me my 2012 Shelby Mustang sold their Boss Mustangs for sticker...not over. I've even seen dealerships recently trying to get 5k over on Shelbys...taking advantage of people that aren't in the know...creating scarcity that isn't there.

  • @billwhismanus Hey, Bill! I don't blame you...I would not pay either! What really steams me is the dealer add on sticker that some use to increase the price for "fabric protectant, glass etching, 'market adjustment' " etc. That's one of the reasons I never bought a foreign car back in the 70's..they seemed to do that a lot! Perhaps, some day, buying a car will be like buying a refrigerator. Internet sales seem to point in that direction! Thanks! :) Jack

  • @billwhismanus My brother was in the market for one, and he found 2 choices. A white Boss near his home (which he now owns) or a yellow Boss near me, and they charged 5-7k more for the yellow one...sad. So my brother got his for only 1500 over I think...The car only cost him about 28k because he traded in his 430hp F150 :P

  • @427mike427 Hey, Mike! My pleasure to comment! :) Jack

  • @raconter1 Thank You Jack!

  • @427mike427 Hey, Mike! I think you made a wise decision! I think the horsepower race is getting out of hand...who cares if the top speed isn't 200? Where, except the Salt Flats of Utah, could you legally do that? Congratulations! Enjoy the car, and enjoy the savings! :) Jack

  • @427mike427 I just bought a new 2012 Shelby. Saw an opportunity to get one well below MSRP since the 2013 is coming out. What a beast this thing is! I don't care if the 2013 has 100 more hp. I don't know what Im going to do with 550.

  • @rush2112mn I would choose the BOSS. I doubt the shelby will be able to get those 750hp on the road. The boss might even be faster

  • @427mike427 Hey, Mike! Thanks for pointing out those great design elements on the Shelby! Maybe it's just me, but I sure would be attracted to a car that gets along with regular gas...premium is so much more expensive. Thanks! :) Jack

  • @raconter1 I also like the creature comforts of the Shelby. Touch screen Nav, Glass roof, and Leather seats with the stripes in them just make the interior pop! But I hear the Boss is just an awesome driver's car. And it gets better fuel mileage. Its a toss up for me. I want to see what the new green color on the 2013 looks like in person.
