HD Teaser #3 - Black & Gold: Remembering the WSU Plane Crash

On October 2nd, 1970 two charter planes carrying Wichita State University football players, coaches and boosters left Colorado Springs heading for Salt Lake City, Utah. One plane followed the charted course. The other plane deviated from the plan and crashed into the side of a mountain. 31 people died in that crash but 9 survived. The tragedy forever altered the University, and the Wichita Community as a whole. This powerful documentary follows the journey of the 1970 football players, families, and the WSU community as they struggle to heal and recover, almost 40 years later. The hour-long documentary will air on Thursday, October 8th at 8pm.
